We have a student’s question on how to Detoxify Body and Mind With Yoga. Let’s begin with the detoxification of the mind.
Detoxification of the Mind
First, you should practice yoga daily without giving any reason to stop. Second, incorporate meditation into your daily yoga practice without allowing any excuses to interrupt it. Third, engage in good activities and remember that doing good deeds for others will bring goodness back into your life. Conversely, if you harm others, negativity will return to you. Therefore, make an effort to be involved in positive actions and help others within your limits.
Positive Subconscious MindÂ
The next step is to feed your subconscious mind with positive thoughts. Our actions are driven by the content of our subconscious minds. Just like planting a mango seed yields a mango tree, what you feed your mind will determine your actions. If you nurture it with positive content, you’ll act positively.

Additionally, learn to relax and ensure you get at least 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep each night. Sleep is essential for a balanced mind, as it relies on both rest and positive thoughts.
Detoxification of the Body
Detoxifying the mind will naturally give your face a healthy glow, as your external appearance reflects your mental state. However, to detoxify your body, you should consider the following steps.
Firstly, practice yoga asanas daily without making excuses to stop. Secondly, choose nourishing foods that are beneficial for your body. While you can occasionally enjoy indulgent treats, it’s important to focus on a balanced and healthy diet.
Staying well-hydrated is crucial for body detoxification. Consume at least 2 to 2.5 liters of water per day, as it greatly aids in the detox process.
Fasting is also beneficial. Even if you have underlying medical conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure, you can modify your fasting routine. For example, you can opt for a light diet, such as khichdi, which includes simple and easily digestible foods. This will cleanse your system by reducing spicy or oily foods.
Consider practicing blood purification techniques and the Water Therapy Internal (WTI) method. For WTI, you can consume 2 liters of saltwater and allow it to cleanse your system. This is also known as “Sankalpa.” You can also use “Vasti” or “Enema” to clean your intestines effectively.
These are simple methods with numerous benefits, and you can choose the ones that suit you best.
